The Inner and Outer World

By: Daniel Kasou

The planet that we lived in is basically structured as one physical world known as earth. We perceive the world as one solid globe that facilitated life on this planet. However, the universe itself is so vast, complex and unlimited beyond our limits of imagination that we might question is there evidences of life in the outer space. The existence of the sun, moon and other planets orbiting our solar system contributes and sustained the atmospheric conditions for life on earth. The same situation could have applied for the other suns seen as stars from our planet who knows, as science is now expanding its exploration in the outer space would reveal such mysteries in the near future.

Getting back to the laws that govern our lives in this existence, there is a universal principle known as the “law of connection.” This law states that we lived simultaneously in two separate and distinct worlds i.e. the “inner world” and the “outer world” and yet both worlds are connected. The “inner world” is basically our thoughts and reactions (mental faculties) and the “outer world” is the situations and circumstances that we encounter. There is a subtle connection between these two distinct worlds that most us don’t simply realize. Both worlds are designed in a way that impacts and affects each other simultaneously. Most of the time, the outer world influences and dominates the inner world causing us to react to situations deteriorating our personal power to exercise control. For instance; if a person constantly complains even when situations can easily be dealt with, surely demonstrates the person don’t have control over situations and loses personal power of dominion. Therefore, his constant reaction to situation has developed into a subtle habit of complaining as he is the creator of his reality through repetition of his own actions and reactions.

On the other end, the inner world also potentially impacts the outer world but is not known and practiced by most people. This is the key to taking back our personal power; once being acknowledged and practiced, changes our perception to situations and exercises control and dominion in our adversities. This happens when we realize that we are not bound solely to the limits of the outer world and stop reacting constantly to situations and circumstances by becoming conscious of our inner powers. Our reality shifts in our consciousness (inner world) and not merely by what is happening in our external reality of circumstances and situations.

You cannot change and improve your life by waiting and hoping for favourable encounters to cross your paths but by shifting your consciousness to your untapped inner powers in controlling and changing your reality. Much of our day to day challenges can be resolved effortlessly by understanding this principle and make it our responsibility to practice for success in life’s challenges now and onwards. Our consciousness has been programmed by the influences of the outer world since childhood and it is now time to take a step in executing control over our circumstances as we are the masters of our reality which our destiny waits. The key is not in how the circumstance appears to be but how we react to the circumstances from our thoughts and emotions that stir subsequent response to the external stimuli.
